1987 Fleetwood Prowler 24P Tear down

I haven’t had much free time but I ripped out the side walls, front walls and ceiling where they had water damage.

As always you can view the entire album at https://picasaweb.google.com/114575782978731528380/1987FleetwoodProwlerLynx24P?authuser=0&feat=directlink

There was soaked fiberglass insulation I just threw away and have been chipping out panelling to make clean edges. I was able to see where it was leaking in corners and temporarily seal on the outside while the work is done.

I re-used styrofoam insulation I found in the ceiling and I rescued a lot of pieces from packing material trashed at work.

When I pulled the ceiling down I got a big surprise!! Old, nasty, rotted, black ceiling rafters had 1x1s stacked and screwed to them for support and some left up that I could rip out by hand.

I have replaced one and put in cross supports but need a dry couple of days to take roof vent out and redo rafters and seal vent. I was given a large piece of like 2″ insulation by my aunt and will use it in the ceiling.

More to come as time allows.
